Global Mamas

Global Mamas, founded by returned Peace Corps Volunteers Kristin Johnson and Renae Adam, works to achieve economic independence of women and alleviate poverty at a grassroots level in Ghana, West Africa through the sustainable growth of small women-owned businesses. As an international volunteer organization, the organization combines meaningful international volunteer programs with valuable volunteer assignments that help African women gain economic independence. Through short-term “volunteer vacations”, participants will use their skills to make a difference in the future of women and their families in Africa. Volunteer positions are available for people with a variety of skills: business, marketing, fashion/jewelry design, accounting/finance, computers, graphic design, writing and more!
