Hope Corps, the volunteer arm of World Hope International (WHI), is a program that facilitates short-term (one week to one year) outreach opportunities for groups or individuals in various countries in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. Many Hope Corps volunteers participate in 10-14 day team trip sponsored by their church or organized by WHI around a specific purpose. Such teams involve Village Partnership teams, Teacher Mentoring Teams, or Anti-Trafficking Awareness Teams. Hope Corps also offers longer placements for volunteers who have been overseas before and want a more in-depth experience, for 1 month to 1 year. These placements focus on specific responsibilities in the context of the local WHI office in the host country such as Staff Care Volunteer, Volunteer Accountant, or Teams Coordinator. Visit the World Hope International website, http://www.worldhope.org and click on Our Work, then Hope Corps for the list of current opportunities.
